Centro de Politicas Públicas UC

The internship consisted in leading a study which analyzed recycling programs carried out at different municipalities of Santiago, Chile. The programs were analyzed from a technical and economical perspective also emphasizing in how they involve citizen participation. The final products were a written report and a presentation to different stakeholders, where José Miguel presented the study findings and other panelists commented his work.  Professionally, José Miguel met with important stakeholders and learned about recycling initiatives and what is being done in different municipalities. Also, he feels he made a great contribution to his country which may be the start point of new recycling initiatives.  Personally, during the project he showed great discipline and working capacity. Without these characteristics, it would have been impossible to develop such a good study.
