CILER/NOAA GLERL

Angela Giuliano's internship provided her with an opportunity to expand her GIS skills and to learn how to use satellite imagery in ArcGIS.

This included learning a little bit about remote sensing.  She also gained experience working in a lab while processing and analyzing water samples for various water quality parameters.  Angela was also fortunate to be given the opportunity to sample on Lake Erie on the Laurentian, a large research vessel for 4 days.  While on the boat she learned how to sample for larval fishes, do zooplankton tows, and perform bottom trawls for larger fish.
