Melinda Koslow was involved in sleuthing, selecting and synthesizing energy resource management strategies and tactics used by local jurisdictions around Oregon and the nation. 

She also worked in collaboration with the City of Portland Office of Sustainability, to synthesize an in-progress Sustainability Board tool kit with the Energy planning framework of which she was developing.  For the City of Portland Melinda assembled four of the tool kit web pages that contained information on how to combat greenhouse gas emissions, better transportation options, green fleets and utilize renewable resources. These web pages provide cities and local government a researched list of "go to" sites for help crafting plans for inside their organizations.  The framework she developed for the Oregon Department of Energy is a cyclical model that will help communities, local industries, and residences practice effective efficiency and renewable resource planning community wide, throughout their jurisdictions.
