The Nature Conservancy

Amy Samples interned with The Nature Conservancy.  The internship was dedicated to analyzing the impact of recent conservation efforts on conservation outcomes.

A portion of time was spent organizing conservation action plan (CAP) materials and research publications to facilitate a smooth exchange between past and future project staff. The Natural Resources Conservation Service Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE2), STORET database, and ArcGIS were used to compile information on potential conservation impacts of the Green River Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program and the 2007 United States Army Corps re-operation of the Green River Dam.
