UM School of Natural Resources and Environment
SNRE student interned witih the School of Natural Resources and Environment at the University of Michigan.
This internship involved two different aspects. As a member of the Development Group, he worked on a variety of projects including preparing briefs for meetings with donors and strategic partners, he conducted research on SNRE and its competitors for comparative analysis, he wrote and revised letters, and he provided a range of day-to-day administrative tasks needed in the office. The most important skills for this internship are writing and general communication skills. Joel also worked extensively on outstanding issues related to the Climate Change Summit that took place last May. This work included processing travel reimbursements, gathering transcripts and other media products from the seminar, and managing the status and flow of information related to the Summit. These tasks required some project management skills, organizational skills, and communication skills.
