WE ACT for Environmental Justice, Inc.
At WE ACT for Environmental Justice, Beth Herz worked to empower residents of Harlem to influence environmental policy decisions that affect their lives.
Her primary focus was local access to healthy food options. She researched food justice issues and organized residents around policy changes, particularly the expansion of farm-to-school programs. Collaborating with food advocates citywide, she worked to build coalitions around food policy platforms. In addition to the food justice project, she contributed to research on climate change and public health in preparation for WE ACT's upcoming Climate Justice conference.
