Natural Resource Statistics

Description:

This course addresses basic statistics and statistical inference with examples from a wide range of natural resource subjects.  The course will focus on classic statistical tests (hypothesis testing, t-tests, analysis of variance, correlation, and simple linear regression) but we will also cover descriptive statistics, probability, sampling techniques, experimental design, graphing data, and non-parametric statistics.  A weekly lab will focus on collecting data and completing analyses with the open source statistical package R.
