- Kevin Doyle is Principal of Green Economy, providing eco-workforce consulting nationwide since 2007. Prior to that, Kevin spent 15+ years as a National Director for the Environmental Careers Organization where he helped launch the careers of over 11,000 college students through placement in paid internships at hundreds of employers. Kevin has co-authored multiple books on green careers and is currently at work on an e-book on environmental career trends. His passion and expertise has been noted by the New York Times, Boston Globe, Forbes, National Public Radio, and other media outlets.

Tuesday, October 8
11:30 to 1:00 Conference and Networking | 1046 Dana
- This panel's goal is to equip SNRE students with the skills to effectively attend conferences, both domestic and international, in order to meet, spread ideas, and network with others in their field. Topics to be covered include be how to gain funding from the university as well as other sources in order to attend, know the basics of an elevator speech, and methods to keep in touch to leverage the relationships made.

- SNRE students' interest in careers in energy spans from energy efficiency and renewable energy grid integration to smart grid, battery technology, and transportation. This panel attempts to look at different professional careers that span this vast industry, including business strategy, finance, engineering, and policy.

- Practice your networking skills--learn to introduce yourself quickly and efficiently (skills needed at conferences, events, career fairs, etc.) to employers.
- Ask participating alums questions to learn more about their careers and companies in quick rotations.
- Registered students will also have a chance to chat with other alums that they did not meet in rotations at the end of this session.

- The world's resources are a key part of sustainable development's definition. Here we are looking at careers ranging from conservation education to species based research and water policy. We hope to draw upon NGO, Government and for profit resource conservation backgrounds

- Seth Goldman, co-founder and TeaEO of Honest Tea, will share lessons and insights from his new business book in comic form, Mission in a Bottle, written with Honest Tea co-founder, Barry Nalebuff. Using passion and economic theory, the book describes their missteps and occasional wins as they built the business from 5 thermoses to 100 million bottles. From raising capital to expanding distribution and experimenting with packaging, Seth will share how the brand stays true its message as he builds a mission-driven business in a profit-driven world.
