1. Funds must be spent only on allowable costs.

2. The grantee will submit brief annual progress reports during the performance period.

3. Upon completion, and no later than three years following awarding of the grant, the grantee will submit a final report.

4. Mazama support will be acknowledged in all publications resulting from the grant, but club endorsement of results and conclusions will not be implied.

5. Equipment exceeding $100.00 becomes the property of the sponsoring institution, usually a university.

Fellows receive a monthly stipend of $1,600 in addition to reimbursement for reasonable domestic round trip travel expenses to Montana.

At the end of each year, the author of the best paper produced by that year's group of fellows is awarded a $250 honorarium. In addition, $250 is awarded to the person who referred the fellow to PERC.

Horton (Hydrology) Research Grant $10,000

Payment is made directly to the recipients in two installments. The first installment is presented at the AGU Fall Meeting. The second installment is given in June upon receipt by the Hydrology Section President of a brief progress report.

Grants may not be used for:

- indirect costs, overhead, and other expenses not directly related to the project

- fringe benefits and salaries

travel to scientific/professional meetings or conferences, legal actions, land acquisition, endowments, construction of permanent field stations, or publication of research results

- While the Conservation Trust acknowledges the need to preserve archaeological sites and artifacts, our current budget limits prevent us from funding such requests

Fuller Doctoral Fellowship $15,000-$20,000

Ineligible expenses: tuition, living expenses/accomodation at university, communications devices, conference attendance, reimbursement for costs accured before fellowship grant period.

Kleinhans Fellowship $15,000/year for two years

The Fellowship will not subsidize academic tuition and fees, nor will it cover costs of purchasing transport vehicles, or unnecessary or unreasonable equipment.

Dumbarton Oaks Junior Fellowship $15,500, travel, housing, research stipend

Fellowships are prorated for appointments shorter than the full academic year. Dumbarton Oaks anticipates that sabbatical salary or funds from other sources may supplement awards, particularly to Fellows. Other grants may be held with the knowledge and permission of both the grantors and Dumbarton Oaks.

Students may receive only one award. Awards are non-renewable.
