John Z. Duling Grant Program Maximum of $10,000

Projects are expected to be completed within one to three years. Grant award amounts will vary depending on the adjudged value of the project relative to the needs of the arboriculture community. Awards are limited to a maximum of $10,000 and no project will receive more than one award from this program. Please note that funds cannot be used to pay for overhead expenses or student tuition and fees.

Asian Neighbors Program Grants max 15 million Yen

Please note that proposals of the sort listed below will not be considered suitable for a project in this program:

(a) Activities with an excessively limited number or range of participants and/or beneficiaries (e.g. scholarships, members limited to one organization, etc.).

(b) Activities with no tangible objectives or results in mind (e.g. conducting an event or aiming for "networking" alone, with no results or other output besides a project report).

(c) Activities focused primarily on research. (Such proposals may be suitable for the Toyota Foundation’s Research Grant Program.)

(d) Ongoing activities (e.g. those by an NGO or charity organization that regularly issues materials) or proposals to use the grant to cover the running cost of an organization. Please note that projects in this program must be new initiatives that start and end within the grant period, not something that is part of a longer project.

The Fellowship covers the cost of travel to and from the WINDPOWER conference site, conference registration (and included meals), and lodging.

Additional expenses are not covered and are the responsibility of the recipient.

Gilbert F. White Postdoctoral Fellowship Program Based on current salary plus $1,000 for moving or living expenses.
Fellows receive an annual stipend based upon their current salary and also receive research support, office facilities at RFF, and an allowance of up to $1,000 for moving or living expenses. This stipend may be supplemented by other sources if the supplement does not divert the fellow from his or her research. Typically, visiting fellows have sabbatical support from their home institutions. Fellowships do not provide medical insurance or other RFF fringe benefits. Neither Social Security nor tax payments are deducted from the stipend.
