Virtual Career Fair for Environmental Employers in Washington DC, March 8-14, 2010

The U-M School of Natural Resources and Environment (SNRE) is one of the nation's top graduate programs in the natural resources and environmental fields.

SNRE has over 470 graduate students (master's and PhD)--many that have some professional experience prior to starting our program.  At SNRE, students gain a strong interdisciplinary education which enables them to work effectively across the science, policy, education, and social realms.  Our graduates are sought after by employers from all sectors for their expertise, leadership, experience, and ability to work across multiple disciplines.

What is a Virtual Career Fair?

An opportunity to recruit top graduate students and alums in the natural resources and environmental fields for internships and jobs without employers having to travel!  This year we are focusing on D.C. area employers since it's a high interest region for our graduate students.

  • Employers who participate in this event will post job and internship openings on SNRE's eRecruiter system.
  • Staff at SNRE will advertise participating employers and specific job and internship postings to our 950+ students and alumni on our eRecruiter system during our virtual career fair (March 8-14, 2010).
  • Students and alums will be encouraged to apply for position openings during our virtual career fair from March 8-14, 2010.
  • ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO CONNECT WITH SNRE STUDENTS:  In addition to the Virtual Career Fair, employers are encouraged to set up phone interviews, video conferencing workshops, or use other forms of long distance communication with SNRE students during the week of the virtual career fair.  SNRE does have video conferencing and teleconferencing capabilities.  Please contact SNRE Career Staff at snre.erecruiter@umich.edu to schedule a workshop or informational session.
