Greg Biddinger, Ph.D. is currently Natural Land Management Program Coordinator at ExxonMobil Biomedical Sciences, Inc. (EMBSI) where he is responsible for strategic development of methods and application of sustainable approaches to managing ExxonMobil’s current and former operating properties. To this effort he is exploring technical, legal and policy mechanisms to bring fresh perspective to the management of ExxonMobil’s properties. Dr. Biddinger has practiced professionally as an environmental scientist for over 25 years.

The granddaughter of civil and labor rights activist Cesar Chavez, human rights activist and diversity speaker Julie Chavez Rodriguez was introduced to the farm worker movement at an early age. Throughout her life, she has played an active role in the fight for social justice, human rights, and the rights of working people. Chavez Rodriguez is currently the programs director for the Cesar E. Chavez Foundation, where she spearheads the National Youth Leadership Initiative, an effort which addresses academic and civic engagement among today’s youth.

Dr. Raul Lejano, Associate Professor in the Department of Planning, Policy, & Design at the University of California-Irvine, is a candidate for an open full-time faculty position within SNRE. As part of his visit with SNRE, he will present a lecture entitled "Water-Energy: The Analytics of Integration." Greg Chandler, Wal-Mart Marketing Director of Sustainability and Healthy Living, presents the lecture "Wal-Mart Re-imagined: Using Marketing to Guide 200 Million Shoppers Towards More Sustainable Products" as part of the Erb Speaker Series.  Refreshments will be served.

This student-led effort will bring together expert practitioners from the public and private sectors for a one-day conference on sustainable agriculture and food production.

John Ehrenfeld is the author of Sustainability by Design and the executive director of the International Society for Industrial Ecology. He will be presenting the opening keynote address for the Ross Net Impact Forum 2009 conference. Dinner and drinks will be served.
