Tradition lives on at annual SNRE Campfire

SNRE students donned waders, grabbed saws and toasted marshmallows during the 2011 edition of the SNRE campfire. The annual event brings together current students and alumni at Saginaw Forest, which has hosted the event for decades. The campfire gave today's students a chance to carry on traditions started by alumni, such as team-based wader races into Third Sister Lake and two-person log-sawing competitions. By evening's end, students are gathered around the Dow Baxter Memorial Campfire.
