Annual SNRE Campfire: The Tradition Continues

Editor's Note: This piece was written by SNRE MS student and StudGov Director Rose Buss.

The annual SNRE campfire at Saginaw Forest on Friday brought together current students and faculty, recent alumni, and alumni from 1962 celebrating their 50th reunion.  Activities at the campfire included the long-standing traditions of wader races and log sawing.  This campfire capped a day of alumni activities, including lunch, a tour of the Dana building, and the showcasing of the SNRE memorabilia in the Ford Commons display cases.  The day allowed students to hear some great stories from alumni, which included a story from Gene of a forestry camp that had beers randomly interspersed in the vending machine to increase sales!

Fun was had, stories were shared around the campfire and fall was celebrated!
