Hoffman named one of 'World's 50 Best Business School Professors'
SNRE Professor Andy Hoffman has been chosen as of the World’s 50 Best Business School Professors by Poets & Quants.
Hoffman has a joint appointment with SNRE and the Stephen M. Ross School of Business. He also serves as director of the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise. He came to the University of Michigan in September 2004.
The rankings were announced this week. This is how Poets&Quants describes the survey and its results:
A great teacher, it has been said, is like a candle. It consumes itself to light the way for others.
That’s an incredibly apt description for these 50 business school professors chosen by Poets&Quants as the world’s best. Most of these extraordinary teachers, chosen by their schools and their students, are long time legends in the academic community.
They’ve withstood the tests of time, taught through bear markets and bull markets, and have consistently taught life changing lessons to MBA students year after year. In some cases, decade after decade. And they are not merely great teachers—they are great faculty members, masters in both the classroom and in cutting edge research.
Poets & Quants is a social network with the goal of creating a community of people interested in graduate business school education. It’s a place to give advice and counsel to MBA applicants, share information, and make friends.
