Rosina M. Bierbaum, dean of the School of Natural Resources and Environment and an expert in environmental policy, and two other University of Michigan colleagues, have been named to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a prestigious society that recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions in scholarly and professional fields.
The two other recipients are Robert L. Griess, Jr., a professor of mathematics, and Arthur Lupia, a professor of political science. The Cambridge, Mass.-based academy welcomed 203 fellows and 24 foreign honorary members.
