TIES program inspires prospective scientists, engineers

June 4, 2010

The School of Natural Resources and Environment, through its Teaching and Inspring Environmental Stewardship program, is co-sponsoring the ENGAGE Program next week. ENGAGE is an exciting non-residential one-week program for 11th and 12th grade students considering careers in science and engineering.

The camp is co-sponsored by the College of Engineering. TIES volunteers will work with camp participants at Saginaw Forest and in the Dana Building. Students will meet others with interests in computers, science, math and engineering. The ENGAGE Program is June 21-25 on the University of Michigan campus in Ann Arbor.

Tuition is $200 for the one-week, five-day session. The fee includes all instructional time, equipment and supplies. A limited number of partial scholarships are available to applicants who document need.
