Description
This course addresses basic statistics and statistical inference with examples from a wide range of natural resource subjects. Topics include descriptive statistics, probability, underlying distributions, sampling distributions, estimation, hypothesis testing, goodness-of-it procedures, contingency tables, t-tests, one-way analysis of variance, correlation and simple linear regression. Weekly discussion sections will center on analysis of real-world problems and data using the statistical package SPSS.
