Dean Bierbaum moderates Clinton Global Initiative’s Protecting Tropical Forests session
Dean Rosina Bierbaum moderated the Clinton Global Initiative’s first session on Protecting Tropical Forests at the organization’s annual meeting in New York on September 26. Panelists included: Jane Goodall, whose work on chimps and conservation is legendary; Governor Eduardo Braga from Brazil who is protecting huge tracts of rainforest; Franz Tattenbach who runs an NGO in Costa Rica (FUNDECOR) that is paying famers to protect trees; and Stu Eizenstat who negotiated the Kyoto Protocol on behalf of the US in 1997.
