Rome Prize Fellowship in Landscape Architecture
Eleven-month Rome Prize fellowships are available in architecture and landscape architecture.
Graduate students may only apply for pre-doctoral scholarships.
The Rome Prize Fellowship in Landscape Architecture at the American Academy in Rome provides American landscape architects with a special opportunity for advanced study, travel, and association with other fellows and prominent professors in residence.
Eleven-month Rome Prize fellowships are available in architecture and landscape architecture. Six-month fellowships, which are intended for mid-career professionals, are available in architecture, landscape architecture and other design fields. Applicants for 11-month fellowships must hold an accredited degree in the field of application. Applicants for six-month fellowships must hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in the field of application, and must also have at least seven years of professional experience and currently be practicing in the field. Applicants should submit materials that best display their qualifications and experience in their particular field.

* Current resume
* One-page project proposal (on 8 1/2" x 11" paper, 12-point font size with one-inch margins) describing work to be undertaken in Rome that addresses how the Rome experience will be professionally beneficial. Please identify any resources in Italy that will be significant for your work.
* Portfolio (not to exceed 12" x 18") that may include photostats, photographs, small drawings or watercolors of your design work and/or publications, clippings, research projects or other written materials. Work submitted should be work done solely by you or substantially by you, with role in work noted.
* Three reference letters from professionals acquainted with you and your work. Each letter must be sealed with the referee's signature across the seal.
Fellowship takes place in Rome, Italy. Winners must pay for travel themselves.
