Scholarships for Exchange
*Admitted to a graduate program at an accredited institution of higher education in the United States or Iceland
*A well-defined research or scholarly project that necessitates an exchange to the host country
*English language proficiency
*An undergraduate (bachelor's) degree must be completed by the start of the exchange
The Leifur Eiriksson Foundation funds scholarly exchanges between students of the United States and Iceland. Awards are for graduate study and research.
*All application materials must be typed, in English, and submitted in 6 collated sets.
*Applications must be received by December 3rd. Supporting documents must be received by December 17th.
*The Leifur Eiriksson Foundation will not accept applications or transcripts via electronic mail.
*Letters of reference may be submitted electronically from the author to Karen Torgersen at torg@virginia.edu.

*All applicants must submit a project statement, which describes their research, project or study in detail. The project statement may be no more than 1,200 words.
In Iceland
Awards are intended to defray, but not exceed, the cost of attendance, research and study.
