Funding Abstract:
The Woman’s National Farm and Garden Association offers the Sarah Bradley Tyson Memorial Fellowship for advanced study in agriculture, horticulture, and allied subjects. The fellowship is open to properly qualified young women who have proven their ability by several years experience. Awards have been made in recognition of leadership in cooperative extension work and initiative in scientific research. The amount of the award is $1,000.00

Application Process and Required Materials:
There are no application forms. A letter of request for a brochure should be sent to the chairman of the committee with a self addressed, self stamped envelope.
The letter of application should contain:

An account of the applicant’s educational training.

A statement, in full, of the object in view and the plan of study.

A certificate (transcript) from the registrar of the school, college or university awarding the degree or degrees received by the applicant.

Testimonials as to character, ability, personality, and scholarship.

Theses, papers, or reports of investigations, published or unpublished if available. These will be returned if postage is sent for that purpose. Confidential letters sent to the committee are retained.

Health certification. (Can be a hand written and signed note on prescription paper from a doctor.)
