Health & Society Scholars Program, Small Grant Program
The focus of the HSSP is broad, with support for training and research focused on interdisciplinary, multilevel approaches to the prevention, development, progression, and treatment of diseases or conditions associated with a major burden in the population. Methodological research directed at these questions will also be considered. The program currently includes representation from the disciplines of Epidemiology, Sociology, Health Behavior and Health Education, Medicine, History, Public Policy, Health Management and Policy, Neurosciences, Neuroendocrinology, Geriatrics, Biostatistics, Biology, Economics, Genetics, Architecture and Urban Planning, Demography, Education, Statistics, Social Work, and Ecology, and participation from any other disciplines concerned with the HSSP focus is welcomed and encouraged.
A mini-conference is held each May (here in Ann Arbor) where current results/progress on these projects is presented/discussed.
