This annual SNRE tradition during Homecoming Week traces its roots to the school's early "field days" in 1906. The gathering for students, faculty, staff, alumni and their families features good food, music, beverages (sorry, non-alcoholic) and competitive fun. Refreshments include sandwich wraps, pasta salad, chips, hot apple cider and muffins. Planned events/fun include wader races, log sawing competition and pumpkin carving for the kids.

Friday, Sept. 25, 5-10 p.m., Saginaw Forest

What you need to bring:

·         your own cup for refreshments

·         a dessert to pass

·         bug spray (it is outside, after all)

·         a flashlight or headlamp (it will be dark by 7:30 p.m.)

·         warm/weather-appropriate clothing and/or blanket (early weather forecast calls for rain showers ...)

·         change of dry clothes (particularly if participating in the wader races)

·         an instrument to play and your singing voice (for campfire songs)
