Eligibility guidelines
- The awards support research or study travel leading to the advancement of geography. Usually there is an international dimension
- Applicants must be registered (full or part time) for a PhD at a UK Higher Education institution OR employed by a UK Higher Education institution
- Applicants must be under 30 years of age at the time of the deadline to which they have applied
- Applicants of any nationality are welcome to apply
- Applicants registered on MPhil or other Masters courses are NOT eligible
- This award does not provide funding for conference attendance.

Funding Abstract:
The Dudley Stamp Memorial Award offers a number of small grants (up to £500) for PhD students or postdoctoral researchers in the early stages of their careers to assist them in research or study travel leading to the advancement of geography and to international cooperation in the study of geography.
The award - formerly administered by the Royal Society - is now administered by the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG). The Award is awarded by the trustees of the Dudley Stamp Memorial Award.
