Description

 

Topics and Tools in Environmental Economics will develop economic models and methods in the study of contemporary topics in natural resources and environment.  Three tools will be developed: construction of economic models; application of constrained optimization in analysis of models; and statistical analysis of data using multiple regression methods.  These will be applied in analysis of: cap-and-trade markets for pollution and water; endangered species management; energy use; climate policy; valuation of ecosystem goods and services; environmental Kuznets curves; and electricity demand.
