Must be a legal resident of the United States. Must have a 3.25 GPA (on 4.0 scale) and be a full-time student. Doctoral students are ineligible. Must be majoring is one of the above mentioned fields of study.

Funding Abstract: 

The National Garden Clubs' scholarship program offers financial aid to students and promotes study in the fields of Agronomy, Agriculture Education, Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Botany, Biology, Plant Pathology/Science, Forestry, Agronomy, Environmental Concerns, Economics, Environmental Conservation (including Engineering, Law, etc.), City (Rural & Urban) Planning, Wildlife Science, Habitat or Forest/Systems Ecology, Land Management and/or other related or allied subjects.

Application Process and Required Materials: 

Application packet includes:

 

 

 

  • Application form with personal/contact information
  • Personal statement addressing background, goals, financial need, and commitment to a career in the field (maximum 2 pgs).
  • List of extracurricular activities and honors.
  • Financial aid form
  • Three letters of recommendation addressing academic achievement, character, and work experience (1 pg maximum each).
  • Graduate and undergraduate transcripts

To be determined by student and financial aid office
Funding Restrictions: 

Funds may be applied to studies overseas provided that the study is a condition of the recipient's degree plan and that payment continues to be made to the accredited U.S. college or university.

After the scholarship funds have been submitted to the college or university of the student's choice, it cannot be transferred to another college or university.
