Funding Abstract: 

One of the missions of the Berryman Institute (BI) is to train graduate students who are interested in seeking careers in wildlife damage management. To achieve this goal, the BI anticipates offering a limited number of fellowships each worth $15,000/year to graduate students at universities in the western US or Great Plains.

Application Process and Required Materials: 

Online application consists of:

  • Title of project;
  • Background information;
  • Proposal abstract, methods, and proposed thesis or dissertation (maximum 500 words each);
  • Description of how the project will address one or more of the needs listed in the USDA/Wildlife Services’ National Needs Assessment; and
  • Budget.
