Rocky Mountain Institute is an independent, entrepreneurial nonprofit think-and-do tank that drives the efficient and restorative use of resourcesí¢â‚¬”currently focused on accelerating the U.S. transition from fossil fuels to efficiency and renewables. Established in 1982, RMI began as a small group of colleagues focusing on energy solutions. Each year, IAESTE United States connects students in technical fields of study to paid internship opportunities in over 40 countries on six continents. Internships are usually 8 to 12 weeks in length during the summer, but programs can be extended for up to 1 year.
