| Short description of your work | The Microcarbon Foundation is a UK startup nonprofit set up to develop a solution for integrating carbon finance into microfinance for the uptake of rural household renewable energy technologies (e.g. biogas digesters, solar cookstoves, etc). Its goal is to alleviate poverty and tackle climate change simultaneously. The organization aims to achieve that primarily by forming a global, cross-sector alliance to conduct pilot projects in developing countries in order to identify potential issues and to refine microcarbon methodologies. I created the organization's first business plan (detailing the organization's work, projected benefits, and growth strategies including the marketing, operational, and financial plans) by conducting carbon development and market research and financial modeling. I also assisted with many startup organization work items, including a Methane to Markets EPA proposal. |
