I contacted the manager for an informational interview and was invited back for subsequent interviews with senior managers and directors. My Peace Corps experience and master's degree were major factors in their decision to hire me. |
| Research | My masterí¢â‚¬â„¢s research focused on natural resource management and climate change in Alaska; although domestically focused, the knowledge I gained on State-Tribal relations and climate change resilience has served me well in my current job. Also, the core and elective classes I took at SNRE have been very useful, particularly those relating to ecology, climate change, and policy. |
