Two-year MLA plan and graduation check sheet

	Requirement*	Notes
LA Core (LA core courses must be taught by a landscape architecture faculty member in SNRE.)	10 credit hours in Landscape Architecture courses to be selected from: NRE 501, 576, 592, 589, 600, 687, 688, 691, 787, or 791. (Note that not all courses are taught every year.) [Conc-specific requirement]
Distribution	1 course from Natural Sciences or Social Sciences course list [School-wide requirement]	Minimum 3 credit hours.
Analytics	1 Analytics course [School-wide requirement]	Minimum 4 credit hours; course must be from NRE Analytics list. Can be double-counted with other degree requirements.
Electives	School-wide requirement	At least 9 credit hours. Choose from any U-M courses, 400-level or above.
Opus	Opus [School-wide requirement]	6 credits of NRE 701/700
Cognates	Minimum 4 credit hours outside of SNRE [Rackham requirement; must be graduate level courses]	Can be double counted with other degree requirements.
TOTALS	TOTAL CREDIT HOURS**	Minimum 36 credit hours
	TOTAL SNRE CREDIT HOURS	Minimum 19 of 36 credit hours

*Specific courses taken toward the 2-year degree should be planned with and approved by the student's advisor. Any waiver or substitution of degree requirement must be approved by the appropriate faculty and submitted to OAP.
**All 36 credit hours must be taken on a graded basis, if taught for a grade. Courses modified as Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory do not count toward the 36 credit hour degree program.
