Black & Veatch
Patty Liao interned with Black & Veatch. The consultants she interned with mainly worked with banks to provide an independent engineer's assessment of solar power plant proposals that needed funding. Her primary project during the internship was compiling an internal database of the solar project experience of the company. This task involved pulling together information from many different reports, interviewing project managers for their take on specific companies and projects, and looking for industry trends. Patty finished this task with a division-wide presentation. During her internship, Patty also helped out with current projects by compiling memos, researching and writing sections of due diligence reports, generating production estimates, and other analysis tasks as needed.
