This one-time award is designed to enable graduate students enrolled in a Rackham program to work on research, scholarly, or creative projects in collaboration with faculty mentors during the Spring/Summer 2013 term to advance progress towards the degree and their future impact as í¢â‚¬Å“Michigan Graduate Students in the Worldí¢â‚¬ .

Up to 100 Rackham Centennial Spring/Summer Fellowships will be awarded.

All graduate students enrolled in a Rackham program are eligible to apply if:

  • A PhD student who began their doctoral study in Fall 2010 or Fall 2011;
  • The proposed research, scholarly, or creative activity directly relates to and helps achieve progress towards the degree; and
  • The faculty mentor endorses the project and makes provisions for mentoring during the Spring/Summer 2013 term.

Award recipients will receive a $6,000 fellowship stipend to cover living expenses for the Spring/Summer 2013 term.
