2014 Dow Sustainability Fellowship Master's Program; SNRE internal deadline 10/16/13, 12 NOON
ELIGIBILITY: First-year master's student (can be second-year if pursuing a 3-year dual-degree). If you are interested in being nominated, you should start working on your materials and lining up potential recommenders now.
FELLOW REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be in Ann Arbor and registered for classes for both Winter 2014 and Fall 2014 terms.
2. Must actively participate in the various program activities.
3. Active team collaboration on a substantial interdisciplinary project
Students initiate the process by uploading the following materials, in order, as a single PDF document to this joinable C-Tools site (site will be activated in mid-September): SNRE Fellowship Apps-->Assignments-->Dow Sustainability Fellowship-MS, no later than 12 noon on Wednesday, 16 October 2013.
Refer to the RESOURCES section for a link to the official guidelines, (refer to page 3, for details regarding each item):
1. A statement of educational goals and planned post-graduate studies or work (800 words maximum)
2. A brief CV (per Dow guidelines)
3. Transcripts (undergraduate and graduate; unofficial is fine; may be requested from OAP, Judy, jbyingto@umich.edu, or Sondra, sondramr@umich.edu)
4. Names and contact information for at least 2 references, one of which must be an SNRE faculty. Letters from these individuals will only be needed if the student is selected for nomination.
You are only permitted one submission, so make sure your PDF document is in order and complete. Deadline for uploading the pre-nomination materials document is Wednesday, 16 October 2013, at 12 noon.
SNRE's Scholarship Committee will review the applications received and select up to 10 students for nomination and notify the Graham Institute.Students selected for nomination will then be notified by the Graham Institute and will have until 11 November 2013, 5:00pm to upload their finalized application materials. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
