The Kelly McKinnell Memorial Award of $1,000, provides the selected student an opportunity to travel anywhere in the world to work on a photographic exploration and documentation project with the goal of promoting world cultural understanding or environmental awareness. The Award is open to all enrolled UM students.

Projects, including a culminating exhibition, must be completed before graduation from the University.
