Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum
Stacy Mates' internship was to co-coordinate Cultivating Community, which provides hands-on gardening and food system education for UM students.
The position was divided between daily project coordination--maintaining demonstration gardens, teaching student volunteers, and organizing agriculture related field trips-- and long term reorganizing, mission clarification and planning for Cultivating Community.
