Campus Ecology Fellowship Program
Graduate and undergraduate students from any college or university in the United States may apply. Applicants need not be environmental studies majors. Current and former employees of National Wildlife Federation are ineligible to apply. Former NWF interns are eligible to apply following one year from their final work date.
The National Wildlife Federation's Campus Ecology Fellows confront global warming on their campuses and help to educate and engage the campus community on global warming impacts and solutions.
NWF Fellowships allow students to pursue their vision of an ecologically sustainable future through tangible projects to confront global warming on campus and in the community. Fellows gain practical experience in the conservation field and first-hand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities inherent in successful conservation efforts.

Grant funds may be used for direct project expenses and/or to cover living expenses. Grant funds are intended to serve as seed money, not to cover the full cost of the project. Grant awards are not transferable between students and must be carried out by awarded applicant. Payments are dispersed at the beginning and at the end of project period. Grant funds must be distributed to an Administrative Office on campus to the attention of the appropriate administrator. All distributed funds must be allocated towards direct expenses or only up to 20% can be allocated towards indirect expenses.
Fellows are responsible for collecting documentation of project expenses, including associated receipts and invoices. Copies of documentation must be submitted to the Administrative Office and/or Fellowship Coordinator. Upon receipt and approval of the final report and expense documentation (or notice of receipt from the Administrative Office), final grant payment will be released.
