International Fellowships
- Women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents
- You must complete an academic degree equivalent to a bachelor's degree from a U.S. college or university by Sep.
- You must intend to return to your home country to pursue a professional career
Previous winners are ineligible. Women with dual citizenship in the US are not eligible.
The AAUW Educational Foundation provides funds to advance education, research, and self-development for women and to foster equity and positive societal change. The International Fellowship program has been in existence since 1917. The program provides support for one year of graduate or postgraduate study in the United States to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

Supporting documents: official transcripts, proof of bachelor's degree, official report of TOEFL scores, letter of admission to graduate program,self-addressed postcard to acknowledge receipt of supporting documents by AAUW.
Fellowship must be greater than any other fellowship or grant received during that year, checks are payable only to recipient (not university).
Does not fund: Indirect costs, Research assistants, equipment, and similar costs, Publication costs, Travel to attend professional meetings, conferences, or seminars, Repayment of loans or other personal obligations, fellowships are not retroactive), Grants-in-aid for less than a full academic year or, travel grants, Travel to or from the fellow’s home country
