Deep Blue is the University of Michigan's permanent, safe, and accessible service for representing our rich intellectual community.  Its primary goal is to provide access to the work that makes Michigan a leader in research, teaching, and creativity.  The option of submitting an electronic copy of a dissertation into Deep Blue became available to doctoral students in 2008.  Prior to 2008, students' bound dissertations were submitted to the University library and listed in the Mirlyn search engine.  Dissertations listed in Mirlyn can not be viewed electronically.
