Siddharth Nag interned with the EPA's Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance.
The Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (OECA), working in partnership with EPA Regional Offices, State Governments, Tribal Governments and other Federal agencies, ensures compliance with the nation's environmental laws. Employing an integrated approach of compliance assistance, compliance incentives and innovative civil and criminal enforcement, OECA and its partners seek to maximize compliance and reduce threats to public health and the environment. Legal clerks in OECA work alongside agency lawyers on enforcement and administrative agencies, drafting briefs and memos, and performing legal research. The OECA law clerk program provides law clerks with the opportunity to work in any of the OECA's program offices, which include the Offices of: Adminstration and Policy, Civil Enforcement (including Air, Waste & Toxics, and Water), Compliance, Criminal Enforcement, Environmental Justice, Federal Facilities, and Site Remediation Enforcement.
