Padi Foundation
The PADI Foundation encourages and supports underwater science, environmental projects, and education. The Foundation will fund and assist worthwhile projects that will enrich mankind's understanding of the aquatic environment and encourage sensitivity to and protection of the delicate ecological balance of underwater life. The Foundation will also fund worthwhile projects to increase understanding of sport diving physics and physiology that will benefit the general diving public and add to the scientific understanding of man's relationship and ability to survive in the underwater environment.
PADI Foundation 2011 Electronic Grant Submissions Guidelines:
1. Go to www.commongrantapplication.com.
2. If this is your first visit, please register. Go to the main page (www.commongrantapplication.com) then click on the "Register" tab at the top right. Your user type is "Grantseeker". Click the "Save" button and accept the Terms.
3. If you already have registered (last year or this year) , please go to the "Login" tab at the top right.
4. You will now be logged in as a Grantseeker and see a "Summary" page. To start applying to PADI, please click on the "Quick Apply" tab,
5. There are multiple grantmakers who use this site, so you’ll need to enter "PADI" in the search for Grantmaker name field.
6. You’ll then see a list of PADI programs. Click on "Select" next to the program you are seeking funding for then click on the "Start Quick Apply" button at the bottom of the page.
7. You will be led through a series of steps to fill out and submit your application. If you make any changes on a page, please be sure to click on the "Save" button before clicking on the "Exit", "Back" or "Next" buttons. We also recommend that you "Save" any changes on a page if you are going to step away from your computer for any length of time (i.e. more than an hour). BE SURE TO READ THE GRANTMAKER ADVISORIES TOWARD THE TOP OF MANY OF THE PAGES AS IT GIVES SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS AS TO WHAT NEEDS TO GO ONTO THE PAGE AND WHAT YOU DO NOT NEED TO FILL OUT.
8. After filling out all the pages, you’ll then get a table with a link to "Review App" and "Submit App". You can click on Review App to print it out and review it on paper before you submit it. You can also click on Submit App then you’ll enter the amount you are requesting and a cover letter. Then click the submit button at the bottom of the page.
9. You will receive an email confirmation after the application is submitted. You will also see your application if you click the "Applications" tab.
