The SNRE Career Fair is coming up on Tuesday, January 15. Please mark your calendar and plan to participate!

WE HOPE TO GET A BIG TURNOUT FROM SNRE STUDENTS AT THE CAREER FAIR!

• This is one of your best opportunities to meet face to face with employers for networking or to find internships and jobs.
• Even if you are not looking for a job or internship now, please try to attend. This is a great opportunity to network with employers and alums and to learn about their organizations.
• From the employers perspective, it is critical to get strong student participation to encourage them to come back for future SNRE Career Fairs.

WHAT CAN I DO TO PREPARE FOR THE FAIR?

1. Please take some time over the week to review the list of employers participating in the SNRE Career Fair and the internships and jobs that they are hiring for.  They are listed on the Career Fair website: https://docs.google.com/a/umich.edu/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AoRyF8ltBWMCdEsyOTFtTWVHSVZmV3dwRmNndGNTc0E#gid=0 . We encourage you to apply for these positions ASAP (deadlines vary) on eRecruiter.

2. Even if you do not see a relevant position for an employer, it is possible you may make a key connection at the fair to help link you to a different office for that employer or a future opportunity.

3. Research any employers that may be of interest to you so you are prepared to engage participating employers with relevant questions.

5. Stop by Career Services if you need pointers on how to best prepare for the fair or to get tips on interviewing/ networking.

6. Bring copies of your resume to handout at the fair and try to get business cards from employers.
