Marshall Weinberg Population, Development, and Climate Change Fellows Program

APPLICATION DEADLINE: EXTENDED TO 25 February 2013

Climate-related changes are affecting every community around the globe. These changes are influencing the resources of all nations, especially agriculture, fuel sources, and water supplies, and are changing every facet of life, especially among the young and aging populations. Solutions will come from interdisciplinary research. This program was created to stimulate students to develop a multidisciplinary and cross cultural research agenda very early in their careers.

The program is administered jointly by the School of Natural Resources and Environment and the Population Studies Center at the Institute for Social Research. It provides funding support for graduate students who are considering, or already engaged in, research at the intersection of climate change, demography and development. The program seeks highly motivated, pre-candidate applicants from all disciplines for this exciting opportunity. Proposed activities must integrate all three substantive areas and have an international component.

Awards for research activities will range up to $7,500. Two awards will be made.
