Teach-In on Sexual Assault: Tools for Safety, Knowledge for Change
SAPAC, the Center for the Education of Women, Abuse Hurts, Women's Studies and GEO are collaborating to organize a teach-in on sexual assault from 8:30-5:30 on Friday, September 16 in the Michigan Room of the Michigan League. Our goal is to explore sexual violence from multiple perspectives, along with steps individuals and communities can take to promote safety. The teach-in will include a mix of experiential learning, research-based presentations, media, and mobilizing for change. I hope you'll join us for as much of the day as possible.
Teach-in information follows below, and I'm attaching a copy of the poster. For more information about programs on sexual assault and personal safety, find us on Facebook at UM Abuse Hurts.
Thanks a lot. I look forward to seeing you on the 16th.
