Greetings,

As students of natural resources, you are by now painfully aware of the difficulty of restoring natural areas and restoring our ecosystems.  Our white-tail deer population is just one of the problems.

The Ann Arbor Chapter of Wild Ones (founded by Bob Grese) is part of a national organization devoted to promoting native plants and natural landscaping.  Our next meeting (free and open to the public) is on Wednesday,  Oct 12,  Randy Baker will be presenting:
Understanding the White-tailed Deer: The Good, the Bad, and the Biology  at 6:45í¢â‚¬“8:30pm in the auditorium of Matthaei Botanical Gardens.

Baker has a PhD in white-tailed deer plus 36 years of teaching, hunting, and gardening.
This program focuses on the deerí¢â‚¬â„¢s adaptations and its impacts on landscapes, ecosystems, and the
economy.  Baker provides a balanced understanding of this amazing animal.
