The deadlines for the UM-affiliated Cultural Vistas Summer Internship Program in Spain and the Internship Programs in Argentina and Chile have been extended until February 15, 2012. Summer Internship Program in Spain
This program provides an opportunity for U.S. and Canadian students to gain international work experience, improve Spanish language skills, and experience Spanish culture firsthand. Participants complete unpaid three-month internships in companies across Spain. Internship placements are available in a variety of fields, including, but not limited to business, economics, engineering, finance, Spanish studies, international relations, IT, media/communications, non-profit sector and tourism.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
-U.S. citizen or Canadian citizen enrolled at a college or university before, during, and following the internship
-Minimum age is 19; maximum age is 25
-Two years of post-secondary instruction in Spanish or the equivalent; participants must be able to function in a Spanish-speaking work environment immediately upon arrival in Spain
-Participants must have completed at least 2 years of study at a university/college
Internship Program in Argentina
This program provides unpaid internship opportunities for U.S. and Canadian students and young professionals in either Buenos Aires or Cíƒ ³rdoba, Argentina. Two program options are available: a 4-week Spanish language course and an 8-week internship with an Argentinean company (Combination Language/Internship Option) or a 12-week internship with a host company (Internship Option). Internship placements are available in a variety of fields, including, but not limited to business, economics, engineering, finance, Spanish studies, international relations, IT, media/communications, non-profit sector and tourism.

* U.S. or Canadian citizens
* Minimum age is 18; maximum age is 30
* Two years of post-secondary instruction in Spanish or the equivalent (language/internship option) or high-intermediate Spanish sufficient to function in a Spanish-speaking work environment immediately upon arrival in Argentina or Chile (internship option)
* Participants must have completed at least 2 years of study at a university/college
